My names Alex Willson and this is my second semester at Boise State University. I'm a junior transfer from Idaho State University and I'm going into Secondary Education teaching English. At Idaho State I studied Exercise Science planning on going into physical therapy. After taking some classes i didnt enjoy and always wanting to coach high school football, I decided to switch to teaching. So many teachers impacted my life in a good way that helped me become the person i am today
I'm interested in teaching because I have such a passion for literature and reading that i want to share with young people. I love to read and use my imagination. I wish to share that with high school students who may or may not have that same desire to read. I hope to challenge students to find genres and topics that will help them love to read like I do.
A little more about me is that I'm from Shelley, ID which is close to Idaho Falls, ID. Our school mascot was a Russet potato which I'm totally proud of. I'm married to my wife Jessica for almost 3 years and we have 2 puppies: copper and ruby. We both love playing and watching sports. I've played football starting from 5th grade up to today. From high school to a walk on at ISU to playing in a semi pro league called the RMFL. I also served a two year LDS church mission in Calgary, Canada.
